On February 24, 2024, hometown musician Brandon Wolfe Scott, opened for Sam Roberts Band, at the Commodore Ballroom.
"Thanks for showing up early, this is great"
Local boy Brandon Wolfe Scott kicked things off, on the first of two nights, opening for the Sam Roberts Band (you can see them here or linked below). The crowd, or at least a few people were familiar with the guy up on stage. As the first song came to an end, there was already requests…and it wasn’t “Free Bird”. It didn’t take long for the folky vibe coming from the stage to get the head nods going. Despite the crowd being very chatty throughout the set, most of them nodded along to the beat.
"This song's about how expensive Vancouver is"
If you don’t know who Brandon Wolfe Scott is, but are into the likes of Ariel Posen or Joey Landreth, I think you’ll find something to like here.
While I was there for the headliner, I was a little bummed when the 30 minute set went by as fast as it did. As I wanted more from opener I was seeing for the first time.
"Thank you very much, Vancouver!"
